Recently there are many new cooling fans were released to the market may be due to high margin and profitable. Today we are going to review FX12/09/08 from Nanoxia which is a Germany company. Nanoxia FX fan series is a cool looking attractive fan with their Nano technology bearing, ECO traction, Makrolon frams/blades and etc.

Package & Content

 

Nanoxia FX fan series comes with soft plastic box in green and black colors which match with their fans color too. Nanoxia FX08 and FX09 are having the similar packaging box size and a little bit bigger box for Nanoxia FX12. At the back, most of the important fan specifications were written down including fan speed, noise, CFM and etc.

 

All the Nanoxia FX fans are packed and arranged on the mounted plastic box very well. For all the Nanoxia FX fan series, they are come with a fan speed controller, four Vibekiller bolts besides the fan itself. The Vibekiller bolt basically is a fan mount or it can be addressed as vibration compensator as well which help to reduce the fan vibration noise when mount on a casing. One of the good features of Nanoxia FX fan series is the 10 years warranty; we doubt any other fan manufacturers are able to commit that because so far we have seen 5 years and 6 years but not 10 years yet.

Nanoxia FX fans are using nanotechnology bearing which use nanotechnology material and allow producing solid fan bearings with minimal abrasion and estimated to have around 150,000 hours of life span which is 50,00 hours more than a normal high quality fans. Besides that Nanoxia FX fans are dust, water and sand proof too.

 

Nanoxia has total three sizes for their FX fan series; 80mm (FX08), 92mm (FX09) and of course 120mm (FX12) as well which is the famous fan size for most of the coolers and casing. For the fan design, it is made by Makrolon frames and blades which come with very attractive colors, light, solid components as well as unbreakable (should we test it?).

Nanoxia FX fan series come with ECO traction which was developed by X-Spice to allow smoother start up and better conversion of electric energy which is more efficient. At the full speed, Nanoxia FX12 is the nosiest fan among the rest of the models which is around 33dB and of course FX12 is the most powerful fan as well with 80 CFM.

 

Nanoxia FX fan series are very unique with its design and the fan holder is came with transparency black color which looks really cool. The fan cable is sleeved very firmly and nicely with black sleeving which is good for cable management and ventilation.

Nanoxia FX fans come with a PCI fan speed controller as well for those users who requires silent environment for certain period like night time. PCI fan speed controller is not suitable for all the users because if users have a hard time to reach the PCI area of the casing then this fan speed controller is not useful at all. We would prefer Nanoxia FX fan series comes with a fan speed controller box which is much flexible and can be placed at anyway for easy access.

For the testing, we have used Nanoxia FX12 on Tuniq Tower 120 CPU cooler. During idle load, the performance are almost same for all the fans but at full load, there are some significant performance differences and Nanoxia FX did a good job here where it is able to put itself among second winner here.

 

Conclusion

Nanoxia FX fan series are high quality, cool looking and good performance products. Besides that it also comes with 10 years warranty which is most longest warranty that we have ever seen for a case cooling fan. The price for Nanoxia FX fan series is acceptable with the suggested MSRP and it will be cheaper for bulk buy. With the 3 sizes of Nanoxia FX fan series, it definitely able to suit around 99% of users. If you are looking for a cool case fan, Nanoxia FX fan series is one of your good choice.
