Jetart MP2000 is packed with a transparent plastic container which looks attractive and professional for such simple product. Some product descriptions, usages, features are explained clearly at the back of the packaging and the container has a precut opening which allows user to unpack it easily. No other accessory is bundled together with Jetart MP2000 since it is a simple device.

A Closer Look: Jetart MP2000

mousepal_03.jpg mousepal_10.jpg

Jetart MP2000 looks quite similar with other ordinary mouse pads and its dimension is 250 x 216 x 20.7 mm and 271g. Such small dimension mouse pad is good for limited workspace users but the weight isn't light enough but it is not alright since no many people will really carry a mousepad with their systems. Based on Jetart website, only single color is available at this moment; black which is the most common color for mouse pad.

Jetart MP2000 is also called as Mouse Pal and it is made by two major materials; plastic for its overall structure while microfiber for the mouse pad surface. The silky touched microfiber surface of Jetart MP2000 provides fast response & precise positioning for all kind of mouse; ball, optical as well as laser. The quality of this microfiber surface is well made and it is comfortable for long hour of usage with the buffer sponge of the lining material .

At the top right corner of Jetart MP2000, there is a blue LED indicator which will be lighten up whenever it is connected to an active system to indicate that the USB2.0 Hub of Jetart MP2000 is ready to work. At the top panel of Jetart MP2000, there are a row of USB2.0 connectors; total four of them which are really great for those are having plenty of USB devices such as digital camera, handphone and etc. Besides that a DC voltage input is available as well for powering up Jetart MP2000 in case the USB2.0 hub is overloaded.

The USB2.0 hub of Jetart MP2000 is having 2 feet USB cable which can be kept nicely at the specific location of the back panel; very convenience and useful cable management but the cable seems a bit short. Four simple round rubber feet are used to hold Jetart MP2000 firmly on the working desk which it is important especially for gaming or other precise applications.

Jetart MP2000 is a simple mouse pad with USB2.0 hub which it doesn't require any special installation hence we will skip the setup process here. In term of performance, we have tested Jetart MP2000 with SteelSeries Ikari Laser and an optical mouse; both of these mice are working very well on the microfiber surface of Jetart MP2000 as its silky touched surface provides very smooth experience and the underneath buffer sponge gives comfortable resting for the palm especially for long hour of usage. Comparing Jetart MP2000 with other famous mouse pads like QcK+, Jetart MP2000 doesn't lose to them but in term of maintenance then Jetart MP2000 is harder to be maintained because of its microfiber surface where dust will be collected after some time.

For the USB hub of Jetart MP2000, it works as per design but in term of accessibility, Jetart should locate these USB ports at better position; either right or left instead of back as it is hard to access the USB2.0 port at back panel. Besides that the length of USB cable could be increased as 2 feet is not really enough to connect to a system especially those systems are located on the floor.

Verdicts

Jetart MP2000 is a simple and straightforward device; a combination of mouse pad and USB2.0 hub. The Silky touched microfiber surface of Jetart MP2000 is working very well as it provides great mouse movement even in gaming as well. Besides that the USB2.0 hub is something bonus when purchasing Jetart MP2000 as the USB2.0 hub with four ports really useful for those are having plenty of USB devices. Jetart MP2000 is being sold at 26USD which is not really although it comes with four USB ports but if you are looking for such all-in-one device then Jetart MP2000 is one of the good choice.

Pros:

+ Great experience for mouse application
+ Microfiber mouse pad surface
+ USB2.0 hub with 4-port
+ Hidden cable slot design
+ Ergonomic angled design

Cons:

- USB cable is a bit short

*Updated on 7/2: Based on Jetart feedback, they are looking some resolutions for the maintenance issue and the USB cable length (although MP2000 is designed for notebook users). Hopefully in near future, we will see an improved version or its successor.

Thanks to Jetart for providing this sample for us to review.
