Proporta is one of our favorite peripheral brands which is quite famous with their Alu-Leather case for mobile phone; especially in UK region. Today we are not going to review their Alu-Leather case since we have done that before but we will have a quick look on one of their latest products; Maya camera case.

Same with other Proporta products, Maya camera case comes with a simple transparent packaging box. The packaging is not hard sealed so you may try it with your camera if you purchase at local shop and if the shop owner allows you to do so. Overall we are quite satisfied with the packaging since such camera case isn't a sensitive device which needs extreme protection. Anyway life time warranty is provided for Proporta Maya camera case.

There isn't any useful information at the back of the packaging box but the suitable camera size for Proporta Maya camera case is up to 99 x 58 x 25 mm which is stated at the bottom of the front packaging box. Such dimension is almost 100% suitable for most of the current point-and-shoot digital cameras like Canon Ixus, Nikon Coolpix and etc.

 

A Closer Look: Proporta Maya Camera Case

 

Proporta Maya case is a stylish digital camera case which is suitable for most of the point-and-shoot digital cameras nowadays. However most of the digital cameras today are bundled with original leather case or soft pouch so why do we need this Maya camera case from Proporta? Basically there are still plenty of reasons for getting a camera case like upgrading, replacing, better protection or even looking for a more charming/pretty case.

There are total three colors available for Proporta Maya camera case which are white, brown and black. All these colors come with contrast color stripe and detail stitching which look fantastic and beautiful especially the brown color with orange stripe.

 

The outer case of Proporta Maya camera case is made by finest quality faux leather which is soft handcrafted fabric and it is ideal for such gadget. Besides that two soft sponges are added underneath the front and back of the Proporta Maya camera case which gives better protection against knocking, impact damage and so on.

 

Velcro strap (25 x 20 mm) is used for Proporta Maya camera case so that the camera can be kept and fasten securely. Here is the inner portion of Proporta Maya camera case where its color is following the case stripe color; orange for brown case, red for white case or green for black case. The physical dimension of Canon IXUS 60 is 55 x 85 x 20 mm which is more than enough to be fitted inside Proporta Maya camera case.

 

Frankly to say, the camera is fitted pretty well inside Proporta Maya camera case although it is a bit loose since Canon IXUS 60 is a pretty small digital camera. In term of comfort and protection, Proporta Maya camera case is doing a good job here as the soft sponges are not only allowed user to hold it firmly and comfort but also able to protect the inner digital camera from being damage against knocking and some light dropping.

 

Verdicts

Proporta Maya camera case is not the only Maya case that Proporta is having now as Proporta has the similar case for iPod nano, iPhone, HTC Touch and even for 10" netbook. Proporta Maya camera case is a finest quality handcrafted faux leather case that we have seen so far in the market with such reasonable price. If you are not happy with the original leather case (too hard) or the soft pouch (too soft) then Proporta Maya camera case should be one of the ideal camera cases for your digital camera which comes with stylish and modern design as well as great protection.
