Packaging

steelseries_qck%2B09.jpg steelseries_qck%2B10.jpg

SteelSeries Qck+ mouse pad comes in rolling condition in a transparent cylinder packaging which is better than previous packaging where it was fully packed without non transparency cylinder box. Don’t so surprise about the rolling condition as SteelSeries Qck+ is made by cloth material. Luckily Steel Series QcK+ mouse pad can be folded or rolled else it might be difficult to carry them around like lan party due to it XXL giant size.

At the back of the packaging, it stated some basic information about this QcK+ mouse pad and back ground of Steel Series in Multilanguage. For your information, most of the SteelSeries products are tested by a group of gamer in order to produce the exact products that gamer is looking for.

No specific user guide is given for this SteelSeries QcK+ and I believe no user need it as mouse pad doesn’t any setup guideline at all. In the packaging, there is a catalog which provides some brief information about SteelSeries products. Besides that there is a SteelSeries Sticker where user may stick it on their gaming machine to show off especially during lan part or gaming event that this machine is SteelSeries qualified.

Steel Series QcK+

SteelSeries QcK series has total 4 mouse pads with different sizes and thickness; QcK mini, QcK, QcK+ and QcK heavy to suit for different users and depend on the working surface area that users have. QcK+ has same size with QcK heavy but QcK heavy is 3 times thicker than QcK+ which it is even more comfortable and it able to solve the uneven surfaces problems. Although all QcK series mouse pads have different of dimension and thickness but the quality is still the same.

SteelSeries QcK+ has dimension 450 x 400 x 2 mm which should be one of the biggest mouse pad in the market now at least for me. Unlike most of the mouse pads, SteelSeries QcK+ is made by high quality cloth material to provide a smooth, precise and consistent glide and it comes with non slipping rubber base to prevent the pad from sliding which could affect the gaming performance. Due to SteelSeries QcK+ is made by cloth material, it may not last as long as standard harder surface mouse pad like SteelSeries S&S but it really depend on how intensive of the usage. We can’t tell the life cycle for SteelSeries QcK+ but I believe it will at least last for few years, if anyone owns this before please let us know the answer.

When we have the first version of SteelSeries S&S, it was called as SteelPad not SteelSeries maybe due to changing the company direction by not only produce mouse pad, Steelpad was changed to SteelSeries afterward by not confusing users. As usual, a white and nice SteelSeries logo is located on the left bottom corner which is a new logo compare with previous version of SteelSeries products.

Testing & Performance

steelseries_qck%2B06.jpg

In order to find out the performance of this SteelSeries QcK+, we have tested it with ball mouse, optical mouse and laser mouse where laser mouse is the most popular and it is almost a must for most of the hardcore gamer nowadays. After some gaming and daily usage, we found that SteelSeries QcK+ is much more better than what we expected since it is a cheapest mouse pad from SteelSeries but it still give us very smooth and precise movement without any irritating feeling at all. The SteelSeries QcK+ surface is very nice no matter what kind of mouse we have tested. With its soft surface, it will no harm the wrist due to long period of gaming or daily computing that normally we are facing. The rubber base is working very well and even better than normal mouse pad as most of them do not have a very good solid base to hold the pad firmly.

SteelSeries QcK+ is the most biggest mouse pad that we have even seen and it is good for those users who have huge space of working environment else users may look for SteelSeries mini or QcK. Due to large surface of SteelSeries QcK+, users not only can use it for mice but also for those other expensive gadget like handphone, camera and etc to avoid scratches.

Conclusion

Thinking to get a good mouse pad without spending much? SteelSeries QcK+ is definitely one of your choices as it gives smooth, precise movement and holding the mouse pad firmly. SteelSeries mouse pad is always a quality pad as we still have the 5 years old SteelSeries S&S with tip top condition. We highly recommend you SteelSeries QcK+ but remember to choose a right dimension from SteelSeries QcK+ else you may have a big problem if you have accidentally purchased a larger pad than what you should.

Pros:
* Reasonable Price or Cheap I would say
* Great surface with strong rubber base
* Foldable or roll able

Cons:
* None
