Today we will review a very interesting product which is from YUBZ (Why You Busy). YUBZ Talk Mobile is a unique and creative traditional phone headset but it is designed for mobile phone. The features and purposes for creating such device are to have better sound quality, reduce background noise as well as radiation emitting from the mobile phone.

YUBZ Talk Mobile comes with an intresting and charming cylinder packaging box. The top portion of this packaging is transparent which is a fastest and better way to identify the YUBZ Talk Mobile instantly as YUBZ Talk Mobile has plenty of different designs and colors.

YUBZ Talk Mobile is stored inside the cylinder with two plastic caps at both ends. The bottom cap is a bit troublesome when putting back the Talk Mobile inside the cylinder packaging box as the coiled cable needs to be routed properly. Nothing much comes with YUBZ Talk Mobile except an adapter support list and a warranty card (in red color).

Besides the YUBZ Talk Mobile, we thanks YUBZ for sending us other accessories that are created be used with Talk Mobile; Pad, Adapater and Y-Cable. Different phone model will require different phone adapter and this adapter will be totally free when purchase a Talk Mobile but additional adapter will be charged around 8USD.

Another two accessories are YUBZ Pad and Y-cable. The Pad (8.95USD) is a soft cushion to protect the Talk Mobile so that user no needs hang around their Talk Mobile improperly while the Y-cable (11.50USD) is used connecting with computer for online chatting purpose such as SKYPE, GOOGLE TALK and etc.

YUBZ Talk Mobile

The first time we heard/found about YUBZ was during CES 2009 through some online CES articles and our first impression was "wow, this is a real kickass product". Hence we finally managed to get the sample and share with you here. YUBZ Talk Mobile has couple of design; either solo color or with special art. For solo color, there are Fire Red, Rose Pink, Florida Orange, Lemon Yellow, Army Green, Jet Black and Rock Gold (Special Edition with chromed color).

For Artist version, there are plenty of designs such as Eliza, Dexio, Isaac, JP, Vivek, Mankwan (left), Trista (right), O.X., K.C., Nakatani, Arthur, Audrey, Christine, Amanda, Dimitri, Jan and Sini. The normal version YUBZ Talk Mobile is 44.95USD while 59.95USD for Artist version. If you are looking for a unique and cool looking version then Talk Mobile Artist is more suitable for you.

For our sample here, we managed to get an Artist version with Dexio design which looks absolutely fantastic. There is a layer of mylar on the headset to protect the beautiful painting of the Talk Mobile where the painting job is done perfectly. YUBZ Talk Mobile is a traditional phone headset which looks exactly same with our grandfather house phone. However the purpose of YUBZ Talk Mobile is not only for the sake of recalling the memory in the old day but also greatly reduce radiation emitting of the mobile phone, background noise as well as to have better sound quality.

YUBZ has cord and cordless Talk Mobile where the cordless is using Bluetooth technology. Of course YUBZ Talk Bluetooth requires additional battery in order to power it up but it is suitable for those like to walk around while taking as their movement is not restricted by the cord Talk Mobile. The weight of YUBZ Talk Mobile is around 0.5lb and 2.4" x 2.4" x 8.3" for its dimension. The cord cable of YUBZ Talk Mobile is a coiled cable to enhance its greater flexibility.

There are one button and one adjusting bar of YUBZ Talk Mobile. The button is an answering button when receiving a call while the adjusting bar is for tuning the sound volume which allows user to adjust the sound volume instantly; digital adjustment for Talk Bluetooth version. There is another switch for YUBZ Talk Bluetooth which is used for turning the Bluetooth on and off.

Here are the speaker and microphone of YUBZ Talk Mobile; speaker/receiver is on top while microphone/transmitter is at the bottom. For the YUBZ Talk Bluetooth, it has around 5 hours talk time and 160 hours standby time. Besides that YUBZ Talk Bluetooth is able to receive the signal up to 30 meters radius in open area.

YUBZ Y-Cable is also having a coiled cable which is good for cable management and this Y-Cable is used for PC online chatting purpose (support MAC & PC). The adapter may not necessary for some mobile phone models. If the adapter is required then it is advisable to use it because the answering button of YUBZ Talk Mobile will not work properly if the adapter is not connected. Check out the adapter here.

YUBZ Talk Mobile is a very nice and beautiful phone headset so a protection is required else YUBZ Talk Mobile may be scratched easily. YUBZ Pad allows user to place their Talk Mobile on it so that user will not have a hard time to keep it safely. YUBZ Pad has two colors; black & white and this pad is made by high quality compressed soft cushion.

Installation, Testing & Performance

YUBZ Talk Mobile has a very convenience handle which is easy to be grabbed and even for long hour of chatting. The YUBZ Talk Mobile fits nicely on the YUBZ Pad which able to hold the Talk Mobile firmly on the surface.

For the testing purpose, we have connected YUBZ Talk Mobile with Nokia E71. Both of the connector of the adapter and the cord cable are same but as we have mentioned before it is required to use the adapter else it will not function properly; answering button will not working. We have tested this YUBZ Talk Mobile for calling and receiving; both of them are working perfectly where the sound is clear and loud. Besides that we also tested YUBZ Talk Mobile with the Y-Cable for Skype chatting; it is functioning smoothly but it is a bit tiring for chatting over a long period unless user is only concentrating on chatting without any typing.

Conclusion

We doubt anyone of you will not surprise when first time found out such creative device; YUBZ Talk Mobile as we can't really imagine such product is exist. YUBZ Talk Mobile is a wonderful headset if you don't mind to hold it especially for over a long period of chatting but in practical, it may not really that useful for certain of users. However if you are looking for a cool looking headset then YUBZ Talk Mobile should be appeared in the top list of your choices. Besides that YUBZ Talk Mobile also helps to reduce the background noise and radiation emission as well as better sound quality.
