We have reviewed Proporta Alu-Leather case for Nokia E71 and today we have another chance to have a quick look for their N95 model as well which is still one of the popular mobile phones. Besides that, we also would like to introduce Proporta Magnetic Dashboard Mount too which is ideal for car usage.

A Closer Look: Proporta N95 Alu-Leather Case

 

Proporta Alu-Leather case comes with a very attractive packaging and it looks much better than E71 model that we have reviewed previously. Anyway the packaging is a semi transparent box where users can have a clearer view on this product without unpack it. If you are not aware, basically all the Proporta Alu-Leather case comes with life time warranty which is definitely great as we don't really see other leather case makers provide such life time warranty.

 

Basically the package contents of Proporta Alu-Leather case for Nokia N95 is exacts same with the Nokia E71 version which we have reviewed previously. The accessories are belt attachment post for hanging the phone on the user's belt with Proporta Alu-Leather case and a simple Multilanguage quick installation guide.

 

Basically Proporta Alu-Leather case is a real screen saver where the front leather cover consists of a light weight aircraft aluminum sheet. This aluminum sheet is used to protect the mobile phone LCD screen from being damage especially for those mobile phone with large LCD screen such as Nokia N95, Apple iPhone. The outer layer of Proporta Alu-Leather case is made by leather skin and some sponges underneath the leather skin for enhancing its protection.

 

There is only one color available for Proporta Alu-Leather case; back which is the common color for leather case with nice looking white stitching. However we do hope in future more colorful options will be available for Proporta Alu-Leather case since it is the best mobile phone leather case that we have seen so far. The top cover of Proporta Alu-Leather case is secured on the bottom case with the silver button which is easy to lock and unlock.

 

Proporta Alu-Leather case for Nokia N95 is a top flip type leather case which is quite common for a leather case; either top flip or bottom flip as book flip type is quite rare due to its cable/connector accessibility issue. However there is an issue when using such top flip type mobile phone case where the user need to hold the top cover of the leather case during photo shooting which is quite inconvenience. The inner structure of Proporta Alu-Leather case is quite simple; only comes with three small holders to minimize the accessibility issue.

 

Here is the rear view of Proporta Alu-Leather case where a pre-cut opening is available for Nokia N95 camera application and at the right bottom of this camera opening; there is a round magnetic sheet underneath the leather skin where it is used for magnetic mounting tool; ideal for GPS application. Besides that Proporta Alu-Leather case also comes with belt attachment post which it is useful especially for business man to carry such bulky high performance mobile phone.

 

A Closer Look: Proporta Magnetic Dashboard Mount

 

Another Proporta product that we would like to introduce you is the Magnetic Dashboard Mount. Magnetic Dashboard Mount comes with a simple transparent packaging. This Magnetic Dashboard Mount is quite similar with the Proporta Magnetic Vehicle Docking system that we have reviewed before. However Magnetic Dashboard Mount is mainly designed for those mobile phones that do not comes with magnetic leather case like Proporta Alu-Leather case.

 

There are two portions of Proporta Magnetic Dashboard Mount; the male connector (small round metal) and the female connector (long bar). The metal (male type) is used for sticking it at the back of the mobile phone; double sided tape is included while the female connector is used to stick on the car dashboard. If you look carefully on the connector, there is a curve which is used to strengthen the magnetic suction/holding between mobile phone and Proporta Magnetic Dashboard Mount.

 

Here is the back view of Proporta Magnetic Dashboard Mount where it comes with a piece of double sided tape. The protective mylar of the double sided tape needs to be removed and install Proporta Magnetic Dashboard Mount on the car dashboard. Since no physical locking between the mobile phone and the mounting, it is only suitable for light weight mobile phone like Nokia 2600.

Since both of these Proporta Alu-Leather case and Magnetic Dashboard Mount are very simple and straight forward devices, we are not going to cover the full reviews on them; furthermore we have reviewed the Alu-Leather case for Nokia E71 model so the review today is just a review respin on Proporta Alu-Leather case and add on with Proporta Magnetic Dashboard Mount.

 

Conclusion

So far all the Proporta products that we have reviewed are well made and high quality products although some of them are pretty simple which doesn't need rocket science but still Proporta is able to deliver the best results for their products and this is same for their Alu-Leather case and Magnetic Dashboard Mounting. Both of them comes with reasonable price which is just around 45USD (alu-leather case) and 15USD (magnetic mounting) which are definitely affordable, furthermore Alu-Leather case comes with life time warranty as well.
